Burgundy Parts

In addition to the black and grey interior colors found on production DeLoreans, other colors were planned as well including tan, blue and burgundy.  Tan interiors can be found on two of the gold cars, but this color was never offered to the general public.  Part numbers existed for components in each of these colors, and a handful of burgundy parts were found in the inventory of DeLorean parts acquired by DMC (Texas) from Kapac in 1997.  Some of these had "Initial Sample" tags attached to them, indicating a date of April, 1982.  No blue parts have yet surfaced.
