Salesman's Fact Book

Donated by DeLorean Motor Company (Texas)

This slender, 15 page booklet was developed for use by the salespeople at DeLorean dealers across the country to help them learn about a car that was in many ways very different from any other car that they had seen or sold before.

The first two pages tell the story of DeLorean, the man, the company and the car which are then followed by more pages that detail the car, assembly plant and dealer organization.

Special features of the car including the gull wing doors (swing space of only 14”) and repair and cleaning in are covered on page six, which also details the reasoning behind the smaller front wheels and the source of the engine.

A center foldout outlines the characteristics of competitive cars versus the DeLorean and another four pages of the booklet are devoted to a discussion of the specifications, warranties and list of some of the better known suppliers.
